The high-visibility national enforcement campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, ran August 19th - September 5th, 2016. During that time, there were no traffic fatalities involving drunk drivers in the City of Napa.
Law Enforcement Agencies in Napa County conducted the following operations during the Summer Mobilization:
Also during the enforcement period, officers from the Napa Police Department arrested 11 other drivers for DUI (8 – alcohol, 3 –drugs).
Police, Sheriff and the CHP encourage all motorists to watch and report impaired drivers each and every trip around town or during summer vacations: Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1-1 anytime motorists encounter that dangerous driver. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
