NAPA, California – On 11/29/16 the Napa Police Department released information about a preliminary assault investigation involving members of the Napa High School football team. The police investigation was initiated on 11/19/16 following a student disclosure. Due to the infancy of the investigation, the need to corroborate statements and facts, and since juveniles were involved, members of the public and media were only provided foundational information about the case. Since then, the Napa Police Department has been advised rumors and speculation are circulating.
Today, 11/30/16, investigators have corroborated information that is available for public release.
The Napa Police Department will be hosting a press conference on 11/30/16 at 4:00 P.M. at the front of the Napa Police Department to discuss the current status of the investigation. To aid in information sharing and in an effort to provide accurate information to the extent possible, the media is encouraged to attend. Following the press conference, updated information shared will be provided publically on our website, www.napapolice.com (click on News Blogs).
