On November 30th, 2016 at about 3:00pm, Napa Fire Department, American Medical Response (AMR) and Napa Police Officers responded to a licensed family daycare home in the 3700 block of Oxford Street in the City and County of Napa regarding an unconscious and unresponsive eight month old male.
Upon arrival of the Napa Fire Department, the eight month old infant was pronounced deceased. Napa Police Detectives responded as part of the investigation. The infant had no obvious signs of trauma. A thorough investigation is being conducted and is on-going.
The death of anyone is tragic, but it is especially painful when it involves a child. Our deepest sympathies are with all the involved people touched by this tragedy, but in particular with the infant’s family.
