Date/Time of Incident: 6/29/17 @ 2122 hrs.
Location of Incident: Redwood Rd. west of Solano Ave.
Victim: Andrew Lynch (57 YOA)
On 6/29/17 at approximately 10:22 PM, the Napa Police Department responded to Redwood Rd. west of Solano Ave regarding a vehicle verses pedestrian accident. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered the victim (Andrew Lynch) lying in the number two traffic lane of eastbound Redwood Rd. west of Solano Ave.
The victim was unresponsive and had major head trauma. The Napa Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene and provided medical aid. The victim was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. The victim is in critical condition.
Witnesses informed police that a white Cadillac Escalade struck the victim. The driver (described as a Hispanic or Asian female, thin, wearing workout attire) exited the vehicle, approached the victim, and quickly returned to the vehicle, and left the scene. Witnesses added the Cadillac was last seen driving south through the Redwood Shopping Center. The Cadillac should have front end damage.
The Napa Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Location: 500 block of Riverglen Dr. Napa
Arrested: Daniel Leon, 23 yrs, Napa Resident
On 06-07-2017 Napa Police Investigators were notified by the Santa Rosa Police
Department that they were with a possible victim of child abuse, who was being treated at
a hospital in their jurisdiction. Based on information obtained from family members, it was
determined that the abuse most likely occurred in the City of Napa. Additionally, the father
of the juvenile victim was also present at the hospital and had the child in his care at the
time she was injured.
Napa Police Detectives responded to the Santa Rosa area hospital and interviewed involved parties and witnesses, as well as medical staff. Based on this still on-going investigation, it has been determined that the child, a two year old female, suffered injuries that are requiring additional medical treatment and evaluation. The child has been transferred to an out of the area hospital for treatment for her injuries. No further information will be released regarding the child at this time.
As a result of the investigation, Daniel Leon, the child’s father, was arrested for PC 273a(a)
Felony Child Endangerment. In addition, Leon was arrested for violation of his two NapaCounty Probations, PC 1203.2 (Misdemeanor). He was booked into the Napa County
Department of Corrections for the above charges.
